Andrea Salvetti Art and Design: NATURA_FORTE

Salvetti is an artist and designer who loves to mix techniques and materials, ancient knowledge and modern technology to create contemporary works that are related to past and projected into the future. For this reason his NIDO (NEST), cosy and comfortable seat are intertwined with antique making, using a modern material such as aluminum; the TOTEM through metal cast describes the story in the wood vein,  made immortal by covering them gold or silver and preserving them by passing time. His works narrate and describe clearly the FORTE (Italian word for "strong" as well as "Fortress") link and intense love of Salvetti for Nature.

Andrea Salvetti (1967) lives and works in Lucca.

In his sculpture and design studio, together with his young staff and his wife Patrizia, he is involved at every stage of the creative process. He is an ardent believer in “self-production” as a guarantee of independence of work and through his work, explores the multidisciplinary space between art and design. In recent years he has held shows at the Focke Museum, Bremen, the Triennale in Milan and Venice’s 48^th Biennale d’Arte and numerous other international exhibitions such as Design Miami Basel, PAD Paris, Artefiera, ArtCurial and Sotheby’s.

NATURA_FORTE  is an exhibition dedicated to the sculptor and designer Andrea Salvetti at Forte Strino inVal di Sole (Trentino). Nature, so widely represented in his work, finds a mirror in the magnificent settingof the Fortress of Strino and the valley.
