NADA Cologne Taking Place in April

This 1st edition of NADA Cologne will take place inside ART COLOGNE, Germany's most prestigious fair showcasing art from the 20th and 21st centuries. This event runs from April 18 through 22, 2012.
This unique co-operation between ART COLOGNE and the New Art Dealers Alliance launches the first European NADA fair, which further enhances NADA's mission of supporting new art. NADA Cologne will premier with 33 international exhibitors including Shane Campbell Gallery (Chicago), Lisa Cooley (New York), CANADA (New York), Neue Alte Bruecke (Frankfurt), James Fuentes (New York), Emmanuel Layr (Vienna), Galerie Cinzia Friedlaender (Berlin) amongst many other cutting edge galleries.
ART COLOGNE will host 200 International Galleries from 22 countries presenting Modern, Post-war and cutting-edge contemporary art. Newcomers include Thaddaeus Ropac (Paris/Salzburg), David Zwirner (New York/London), Roslyn Oxley9 (Sydney), Ben Brown Fine Arts (Hong Kong), Vera Munro (Hamburg), Carlier Gebauer, Klosterfelde, and Neu from Berlin. Amongst the returnees are Annely Juda (London), Karsten Greve (Cologne/Paris/St. Moritz), Michael Werner (Cologne/New York), Hans Mayer (Duesseldorf), Hauser & Wirth (Zurich/London/New York), Sprth Magers (Berlin/London), Daniel Buchholz (Berlin/Cologne), Gisela Capitain (Cologne), Christian Nagel (Berlin/Antwerp) and Johann Konig (Berlin).
The Art Cologne/NADA Cologne Entrance Hall will be dedicated to the German artist Dieter Roth, and Bernd Lohaus and Anny de Decker from Antwerp's gallery White Wide Space (1966 - 1976) will receive the ART COLOGNE prize.
Several important museum exhibitions throughout the Rhineland will be occurring in tandem with the Fairs. Kaspar Koenig's "Vor dem Gesetz" and Cosima von Bonin at the Museum Ludwig; Warhol, Basquiat and Clemente in the Kunst- und Ausstellungs-halle, Bonn; Albert Oehlen and Kris Martin, it in the Kunst Museum Bonn; Thomas Saraceno and Roman Ondak in the K20 Museum in Dusseldorf; Ai Wei Wei in the DKM Museum Duisburg; and Monica Bonvincini at the Museum Abteiberg, Moenchengladbach.
A few days after NADA Cologne, important highlights continue in Berlin with the opening of the Berlin Biennale, the Gallery Weekend Berlin and Deutsche Bank will present the Artist of the Year Award to Roman Ondak at the Deutsches Guggenheim in Berlin. NADA Cologne would also like to announce our continued collaboration with Paddle8. As an online marketplace and private collector community, Paddle8 will supplement the physical exhibitor booth and offer you new forms of access, allowing you to easily navigate the fair online, preview works, liaise with galleries, and streamline the acquisition process free of geographic restraints, all within a secure platform.
