The Technology

The original technology used in developing this formulation is derived from soy lecithin, a natural material composed of phosholipids, glycolipids and a universe of skin friendly oleochemicals present in low concentrations. Further research produced in the novel fraction designated as Soy Lipid Composition (SLC).

SLC exhibits many properties not present in commercial soy lecithin, namely potentiated antimicrobial activity and protection of skin cells from many oxidative species, especially hydrogen peroxide (H202), as well as anti-inflammatory properties.

As the cells live and produce the energy they need to survive, they also produce hydrogen peroxide as a byproduct, which causes inflammation and shortens their lifespan. Unfortunately, with the exception of SLC, no antioxidant can be delivered to the cells that successfully neutralizes the effects of hydrogen peroxide.

Some individuals have a low tolerance to soy- derived products, so research was focused on finding another natural source of lecithin, and Brassica napus L. of the mustard family was chosen.
