Author Hywel Davies defines the new fashion generation and uncovers 100 radical new designers who are each fulfilling important individual roles as innovators in the industry such as Ashish, Aitor Throup and Meadham/Kirchhoff. In his opening essay, Davies discusses the fashion institutions and capital cities that nurture the talents of tomorrow. He then goes on to highlight the importance of other fashion initiatives, set up to promote new designers after they leave college, and questions whether too much support could eventually saturate the market.

This book showcases designers who are in the first decade of their careers, either working alone on their own label or brand or teamed up into small companies collaborating on collections.
