Virtually everybody, no matter how self-assured or internally motivated, hits rough patches in life. That's when an extra little nudge is required to stick with it and keep going.
Traditionally, that push came from family, a caring co-worker, or a special friend. Now, it can come from reading an inspiring, empathetic book—“#ENDURANCE tweet: A Little Nudge to Keep You Going” by leadership coach and motivational author Jarie Bolander, brought to you by THiNKaha, an imprint of Happy About.
Jarie Bolander knows from personal experience about the struggle to get going, and keep going. With the true passion and grit of an endurance athlete, he has completed more than a dozen triathlons, including one Ironman distance.
He knows that the key to achievement is to "out-endure" everybody else and firmly believes that most people can, with the right mindset and determination, pull through with winning colors. A few "ahas" from his book illustrate its immediate and lasting applicability. "The courage to try and fail is nobler and rarer than all the dreams of starting," says aha #88. "To endure is to finish--nothing more, nothing less," exhorts aha #134.
Naturally, a book with such apparent value invites praise from many quarters. To Tyler Tervooren, Founder of AdvancedRiskology.com, the book conveys "All the inspiration you need to do something meaningful in as few words as possible."
London Breed, who is the Executive Director of San Francisco's African-American Art and Culture Complex, shares, "#ENDURANCE tweet is a great collection of powerful words that captures the essence of what it means to endure through life's challenges. It gives me the positive reinforcement to make the right decisions for the right reasons."
#ENDURANCE tweet inspires its readers to endure through their challenges and succeed. This wonderful new book motivates people to fix firmly on their goals and build the confidence to achieve them.
Jarie Bolander (@EnduranceLeader) is an engineer by training, entrepreneur by nature, and leader by endurance. His site, Endurance Leader, combines two of his passions--leadership and endurance athletics. The fundamental premise behind Endurance Leader is that by enduring through hardships, struggles, and setbacks, you can conquer pretty much anything.
Jarie knows firsthand about the struggles of athletics and leadership since he has completed twelve triathlons (including one Ironman distance) and countless other endurance events. He has also been involved with several start-ups and community groups where his ability to synthesize complex problems into actionable tasks has enabled him to endure and thrive.
