New Thriller by Clem Chambers: The First Horseman
UK- London | Oct 25 2012 | (23:13:50 - EDT)
"The First Horseman" is the fourth book in the acclaimed "Jim Evans" thriller series, by Clem Chambers.
Jim Evans, retired, super-rich trader, only wants to do good, he wants to fund research that will save lives. Professor Christopher Cardini has developed medical technology he says will change the world. Through cell therapy, he can rejuvenate the dying and extend life to unnatural lengths.
What would happen if humanity had the ability to turn the body clock back? If science found a way to repair telomeres, the tiny proteins found at the end of every strand of human DNA - humans would live much longer, perhaps even achieving immortality.
Surely such a medicine would result in many more billions of people fighting for survival amongst the ruins of an ecologically exhausted planet? Professor Cardini has a dark and terrifying solution to the population explosion, in the form of a horrifying new weapon. Will he succeed in releasing his tiny, but deadly 'First Horseman' and wreak bloody havoc on the world? Not if Jim Evans can help it.
