Hook + Vine: Ideal Marriage of Culinary Innovation

Fresh North Carolina seafood and a glass of fine wine can help brighten up a fall day on their own, but when paired, create an exciting combination. Dock to Door Seafood and The Wine Feed are teaming up to host a family-friendly seafood and wine festival - Hook + Vine -- on Sun., Oct. 14 at 4:00 p.m., uniting unite foodies and wine connoisseurs alike.
Taking place at The Wine Feed's Downtown Raleigh event space and parking lot at 18 Glenwood Ave., the indoor/outdoor festival will celebrate North Carolina-prepared seafood and outstanding complementary wines.
Several of Raleigh's well-known restaurants and catering companies, including Mandolin, PoshNosh, Battistella's and Sarah Cecilia Good Food Co., will present attendees with five tastes of North Carolina seafood. Dishes will highlight a variety of flavors and options ranging from wild, sustainable ocean species like sheepshead and grunts (gray snapper) to classics such as shrimp and flounder. Each seafood taste will be paired with a thoughtful pour from The Wine Feed's extensive offerings.
