BROOKLYN - Innovative Creator & Designer Kimberly Lewis
| Jun 25 2011 | (00:05:15 - EDT)
Growing up, Kimberly's mother predicted that one day she would design wallpaper for Laura Ashley. Kimberly likes to think that she is even happier with this outcome. When not combing vintage stores and flea markets for inspiration (or just a new dress), Kimberly is exploring New York City and adding more stamps to her passport. Kimberly draws inspiration from her growing collection of vintage textiles, and modern fashion.
Kimberly holds a Bachelors of Industrial Design '08 from Pratt Institute and has studied Textile Design at the Danish Design School in Copenhagen. She has designed and developed patterns that have appeared on products sold in department stores worldwide, including Macy's, Bloomingdales, Nordstrom, Bergdorf Goodman, Harrods and more. Kimberly has worked as a freelance designer at Macy's Merchandising Group in the tabletop division. She currently works as an in-house package designer for Clinique at Estee Lauder Companies when not dreaming up playful patterns for interiors. Grace Bonney of the popular blog Design*Sponge says 'I can't describe how wonderful it is to watch someone grow from a promising student to a talented working designer.'
