Stepevi Introduces Rococo and Coupage Collections

Stepevi, the contemporary luxury rug specialist, launched two new collections, Rococò and Coupage, together with its existing range of modern luxurious rugs, at Maison&Objet.

Established as a leader in design excellence, Stepevi retains the traditional craftsmanship at the heart of the company while marrying in the most advanced technical developments. Stepevi continues to use highly technical processes to develop its own yarns, enabling it to produce rugs that are innovative, sophisticated and at the cutting edge of design.

Rococò (1st, pictured above)

This collection draws inspiration from the 18th century artistic movement. Rococò evolved against the backdrop of the grandeur, symmetry and strict regulations of the Baroque movement. The asymmetrical designs and curves, comprised of intertwined rough knots, are influenced by classical Aubusson rugs. These elegant, classical rugs come in four different designs: Fiorella, Milanza, Letizia and Perlita. They are available in seven colourways and can be customized to any size and shape.

Coupage (2nd & 3rd, pictured above)

This collection has been designed around the cultures and history of villagers in Turkey. Traditionally hemp yarn was used to make flat weaves, bags and saddlebags that were then used as floor coverings. The rugs are produced using patches from various hemp flat weaves. Each rug is unique in colour, design and weave, giving the rug a natural and traditional look that works well in today’s modern interior. The Coupage collection is available in seven colorways.
