USA- Hollywood, CA | Mar 1 2012 | (01:07:16 - EDT)
EYES IN Magazine Editor-in-Chief Vivian van Dijk attended the premiere of Incredible Loud & Extremely Close, and had the following to say about the film nominated for Best Picture and Best Supporting Actor at the 2012 Academy Awards:
"Brilliant perfomances by Sandra Bullock, young actor Thomas Horn, Max Von Sydow, and Tom Hanks make a sad story into a feel good movie while witnessing the mind of this incredible boy,
the extraordinary nine year old Oskar Schell, who lives with his mother in Manhattan. What is so special about Oskar is his ability to invent all kinds off things, his incredible imagination and his unquenchable thirst for knowledge. At first he seems to be a very happy young man, but the truth is that he is incredibly sad and very unhappy. He misses his father, Thomas Schell, who died in the attack on the World Trade Center in 2001. Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close is a wonderful story about ups and downs in life, how several people handle horrible occurrences, losing something or someone that you love and coming to terms with this loss."
