Squad 85 Comedy Series Premieres on YouTube

The brand new comedy series from YOMYOMF, "Squad 85" premiered its pilot episode on YouTube yesterday. View it here on EYES IN.

The series, created by Gregory Bonsignore, stars Parvesh Cheena (“Outsourced”) and Travis Van Winkle (“Transformers”) along with a multi-ethnic cast of characters. The series also features guest stars and cameos by Diedrich Bader (“Outsourced”), Danny Pudi (“Community”), RJ Mitte (“Breaking Bad”), Janina Gavankar (“True Blood”), Rizwan Manji (“Outsourced”) and Kevin Wu aka KEVJUMBA of YOMYOMF.

In 1985, the LAPD experimented with a secret Time-Travel Division – catapulting four of LA’s finest 25 years into the future. That future is now! Gregory Bonsignore, a New York native, created "Squad 85." Bonsignore’s writing credits include “Lie to Me”, “Three Rivers”, and “Million Dollar Mind Game”. Fox optioned his TV Pilot "Yearbook" and Philip Seymour Hoffman & Emily Ziff's Academy Award Winning Cooperstown Productions developed his pilot "Rare" for their HBO first-look deal. Bonsignore also stars in the series as the character Bronx. Milauna Jemai, Ceci Fernandez, Jeff Biehl, Armand Vasquez, and Christopher Larkin also star.

Bonsignore comments, “The show is really about the aesthetic of the 80’s cop show being transplanted into today’s world of CSI. These cops don’t wait for warrants – they kick down the f**king door. Everyone could use a little 80’s cop show in their lives. Are you better off now than you were 25 years ago?”
