Neon Hitch Closes 2012 Songwriters Music Series

USA- New York, NY | Oct 15 2012 | (22:58:40 - EDT)

On Wednesday, Oct. 31, the VH1 Save The Music Foundation will close out their 2012 Songwriters Music Series with a Halloween themed bash in New York City, featuring a special performance by Neon Hitch. Announced Oct. 11, on VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live, the evening will also include exciting tricks and treats giveaways.

Hosted by VH1 Big Morning Buzz Live's Carrie Keagan & Jason Dundas, the evening will once again offer a unique platform for mingling amidst great music, a sponsored bar, passed hors d'oeuvres and one of a kind giveaways. Since 2011, the Series has raised an upwards of $500,000 , which continues to help restore 16 music education programs nationwide. This year's series featured performances from Robin Thicke in Chicago and LeAnn Rimes in Napa.

British singer/songwriter Neon Hitch has been performing since the age of four when she joined the French Circus, Archaos. At age 10, Neon began writing her own music and was encouraged by her boyfriend to pursue a career in singing. By the time she was in her teens, Hitch had put her dreams of becoming a musician on hold as she toured Europe performing as a trapeze artist, fire swinger and stilt walker.

She then moved to India for a few years before resettling in London to finally start her music career. It wasn't long before Neon was discovered on by celebrated pop producer Benny Blanco, who flew her to New York to work with him, and the rest is history. Her debut album Beg, Borrow and Steal is being produced by the hit-maker and will be released by Warner Bros. Records next year. Neon's new single "Gold," was co-written by Bruno Mars, and is set to impact radio this fall. Please visit the Neon Hitch Website for more information.
