Dutch Art Event: Naarden Photo Festival New York

In cooperation with Photoville, Photo Festival Naarden shows a selection of the best contemporary Dutch portrait photographers at United Photo Industries and Dumbo Arts Center. New, young, Dutch and narrative. These are the key words of Photo Festival Naarden. The photo festival of the Netherlands, attracting tens of thousands of photography enthusiasts biannually, is an experience that enjoys an international reputation.

A selection of the last festival, 10 series by up-and-coming talents and established names such Joost van den Broek, Flokje van Lith, Mike Roelofs, Martin Roemers, Sander Troelstra, are included. The main theme of the Photo Festival Naarden is Let’s Face It – Portraits of Dutch Photography. Derivative themes are Famous Heads, Just Me, Second Skin. The biannual Photo Festival Naarden, made possible thanks to the efforts of more than a hundred volunteers, displays a leading overview of the developments in Dutch photography. With a look toward the future and an eye for tradition. New talent is presented alongside established names. The basic idea is to compare and enjoy. The festival is an experience for everyone who loves photography. For four weeks, Naarden is a dazzling meeting place for professionals, amateurs and enthusiasts. Its unique location ensures that visitors can walk to various stylish exposition areas, while the outdoor locations are an integral part of the festival.
