Pizzaroni & LaChapelle Works at Texas Art Fair
USA- Houston, TX | Oct 16 2012 | (23:25:40 - EDT)
Anyone with interest in photography news knows the name David LaChapelle or Luca Pizzaroni. Now, together with their brilliant photography innovations, both artists will have works appearing at an art show in Texas this week.
Luca Pizzaroni has exhibited both in New York and abroad including shows at KunstWerke in Berlin and the Cartier Foundation in Paris. He is the recipient of a residency at American Apparel and a grant from the Italian Institute of Culture of New York. His film and video career has included directorial work with both Elton John and Bryan Adams.
David LaChapelle's images, both bizarre and gorgeous, have forged a singular style that is unique, original, perfectly unmistakable, and often imitated. He has photographed a diverse collection of the world's most influential cultural personalities. In 1995 he was recognized as "Photographer of the Year" by American Photo Magazine. In 1998 he won the "Alfred Eisenstandt Award" for the "the most interesting photographic style".
Both photographers' selected works will be at the Texas Contemporary Art Fair at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas.
They are being represented by Fred Torres Collaborations. The art fair runs from Oct. 18 through Oct. 21.
