Paperself Paper Eyelashes at London Fashion Week
UK- London | Feb 20 2012 | (01:04:35 - EDT)
In 2010, Paperself launched the world's first and only eyelashes made from cut-paper, surprising the fashion and beauty industry. The brand won the Norman Copenhagen Best Product Award in the same year.
What is your brand philosophy? “To create and present a whole new concept of eyelashes to the market. Paperself eyelashes are filled with character inspired by the art of Chinese paper-cutting. Eyelashes blend an element of traditional culture with contemporary design.
Each design has a symbolic meaning: Horses (Successful), Peonies (Fortune), Peach blossoms (Love is coming). The lashes can be cut and combined in various ways for different occasions. We aim for the brand to be a piece of artistic jewellery for the eyes and to form a new trend in market.”
How would you describe your ideal client? “An individual with their own style who loves false eyelashes.”
Trademark piece: “Exquisite eyelashes designed from cut paper.”
They will be introducing an exciting collection of exquisite and intricate paper false eyelashes that have made a dramatic impact on lash aficionados! Inspired by the art of Chinese papercutting, the PAPERSELF team have challenged the way paper is used by blending traditional culture with contemporary design, creating a brand new concept that’s set to change the way we view lashes.
