NYC's R20th Century Joins Design Days Dubai 2012

Design Days Dubai is the first fair dedicated to collectible and limited edition design to take place in the Middle East and South Asia. Held in Downtown Dubai, Design Days Dubai (March 18-21, 2012) aims to be a flagship event for design collectors within the region and is poised to affirm its credentials as a global forum for design.

The 23 participating galleries represent some of the world's top-tier galleries specializing in 20th and 21st century collectible design and serve as a testament to the Fair's expectations to draw influential clients and collectors from the region and industry luminaries from around the world.

Among the many prestigious galleries are NYC's R20th Century and, from the region, Dubai's Nakkash Gallery, Kuwait's Mariam Al Nassar 20th Century Decorative Arts, and Beirut's Carwan Gallery and Smogallery. Sao Paulo's Coletivo Amor de Madre and Seoul's Croft gallery have both chosen Design Days Dubai to exhibit outside of their home countries for the first time.

The fair will also host a public programme of talks, workshops and educational talks led by international designers and experts.

Design Days Dubai, along with world-renowned contemporary art fair Art Dubai will form part of Art Week, a broad program of cultural events taking place across the United Arab Emirates during the month of March.
