To celebrate National Papaya Month this September, select Starwood Hotels & Resorts in Thailand will feature exclusive experiences in honor of this delicious fruit. Properties including Le Méridien Koh Samui Resort & Spa, The St. Regis Bangkok and Aloft Bangkok – Sukhumvit 11 have created special spa treatments or cocktail recipes incorporating papaya, a fruit that is not only incredibly tasty but also contains many nutritional and medicinal properties.

In honor of National Papaya Month, Le Méridien will spotlight a special “60-Minute Sea Salt Papaya Scrub” featuring papain, a key ingredient in papaya promoting skin renewal and cell turnover. Papain exfoliates the skin to reveal glowing, softened skin. Vitamin A, E, C and anti-oxidants are added to the scrub which moisturize the skin, clear dirt and help remove dark spots. Additionally, papaya facial scrubs and face masks are available to tend to acne, sunburn and aging skin.

Ingredients:

50 ml Vodka
250ml Papaya juice
150ml Orange juice
15ml Ginger syrup
Add sweet/sour mix to balance
Top off with Ginger Ale
Garnish with a lime slice

Method:

Shake all ingredients except ginger ale, strain into glass filled with ice cubes and top with ginger ale.
